Does the Military do anything for our kids for college? I heard from someone recently that if you retire from the Military the they help pay for college for our kids.!.!. Does anyone know anything about this?
Not that I know of. Only if your husband has 10 years in with the GI Bill he can pass it to his kid to use (effective this Fall). Or, if your husband has received the purple heart. And there is something with the VA.
Yes, they pay for Harvard or Yale ONLY. If the kid can't get in on their own the Marine Corp retakes their SAT for them and then threaten the school with military action if the kid isn't allowed in.

What an idiot.

Thats what I hear too.
6 years it can be passed to your spouse and 10 years to your kids
I don't think the wife should get any of the GI Bill. JMPO.
No reason it should go to waste. The service memeber earned it so I think they should be able to do with it as they please.

See I feel its the same as the Blues Jacket, if you want to wear it/use it, then you should enlist and earn it.
depends on the state, as others have already posted. I don't think NC does anything. Has to be the AD members state of record, as far as I know (or be registered or whatever, drawing a blank).

Then you think the children shoudn't be able to use it either?
The kids can use it. I just feel that the wife can't. Too much can go wrong with the marriage. That's just my own personal opinion. Not everyone feels the same on the GI Bill. So I'm not going down that road.
Good because I think you're NUTS. Like really really twisted in your thought process.
And there are parents who disown their kids and vice versa
My thoughts EXACTLY!
I'm not nuts or twisted in my thought process at all.
If you think a husband shouldn't be able to use something HE EARNED to educate his WIFE, usually THE MOTHER OF HIS KIDS because she may leave him, cheat on him, or whatever other twisted scenario your twisted mind came up with, well then IMO you're NUTS!
