none of the info is current for what I was looking for so here goes...

my husband and I have lived in jville for about a year now, off base. He deploys next year and we were debating on moving on base once our lease is up which is also around the same time. Unfortunately the base housing website hasn't been updated since May so it isn't very helpful and I'm waiting on him to get back from workups to go to the office for more info. In the meantime I was curious if anyone knows what base housing we would qualify for... He's E-4 and we have no babies for now. I'm assuming from the website that we only qualify for 2 br's which would mean TT or Midway. Not sure if any of the newer developments have 2 bedrooms? And I'm pretty sure we can't qualify for a 3br unless I acquire a bun in the oven(which is HIGHLY unlikely, God willing)... Does anyone know which housing we qualify for and what it is like? I lived on bases as a kid so I know sometimes theyre old but renovated, or just plain old... Any comments or complaints about any of the 2 bedrooms in these areas?? I'd much appreciate it!!

You would qualify for a two bedroom. Last I heard the wait time was about 3 to 5 months.

I'm pretty sure you would have to already have 2 kids to qualify for a 3 bedroom. Not positive though but don't go trying to get knocked up just for a bigger house ;-)

You only have to have one child to get a three bedroom now. They changed that sometime last year. Personally I wish they would give everyone a three bedroom but we all know that's not going to happen.

Thanks y'all. I thought that was the case. It would be nice to have a 3 BR but definitely no kids for awhile so thats out of the question. I'm just trying to figure out if its worth it to move on base or if BAH gets us more out in town... Would be nice to not have to deal with anything but a cable bill though and it seems like you meet more people living on base than out in town. We'll see what happens! Thanks for the input!

That was my first thought. I wouldn't give up BAH for two bedrooms. :/

I seriously feel like LU is turning into a forum for repetitive base housing questions.

My bad, I just thought it would be the fastest way for my question to be answered. Since it was, I have no need of the thread anymore and if you'd like to delete it feel free. I'm sure it gets redundant on here and I searched back to look for the answer in older threads with no avail. Like I said, sorry it's on me. However I do appreciate the helpful comments!

I don't think it needs to be deleted. It is a bit redundant. Hopefully the next person that has the same or similar question will be able to find their answer now! :)

Eh, MrsW, don't worry about it. Not like there is much else to talk about. At this point, the search bar is moot.

Ask away. If someone has an issue with it, they could simply not answer.
