from hooahcaiteebird 4 hours ago x I stated their ranks because someone asked me earlier if my husband was an E2. So maybe, you should read a little further back in the post? Just a suggestion. I'm still befuddled as to why you randomly call me an idiot. Your saying all that stuff on the thread but when I confront you, you can't write back? Makes sense? I'm sure your husband is gorgeous, I'm so proud of you. I bet he is super duper smart too. That's probably why he is a Marine. Because he scored sooooo high on his ASVAB. Once again, you should be so proud. Have you really even thought about doing any research on the ASVAB? Do you realize it is actually more difficult do get into the Army on that test? Once again, you should be proud of your intelligence. from hooahcaiteebird 4 hours ago x Why does it matter what the hell my husband looks like? I bet he is super duper smart too. That's probably why he is a Marine. Because he scored sooooo high on his ASVAB. Once again, you should be so proud. Have you really even thought about doing any research on the ASVAB? Do you realize it is actually more difficult do get into the Army on that test? not only is my husband an idiot, but i am too.

SeriouslyInaneBabble --- 16 years ago -

*blinks* Huh? Am I the only one confused?

Nay-Nay --- 16 years ago -

Because he scored sooooo high on his ASVAB. N got a perfect score on his test (I think it was is AFQT though, I'm not sure about all the different tests, etc), and he decided to be a Marine. Do you realize it is actually more difficult do get into the Army on that test? Where does she get her info from?

Luv2Shop --- 16 years ago -

Where does she get her info from? A cracker jack box!

Nay-Nay --- 16 years ago -

Have you really even thought about doing any research on the ASVAB? She acts like SHE'S the one who was in the military...

SeriouslyInaneBabble --- 16 years ago -

I just wanted to point out that you have to score pretty high on the ASVAB to become a linguist... And as far as I know..... there ARE Marine linguists. Kind of blows her theory out of the water, huh?

pinkhearts ♥ --- 16 years ago -

She acts like SHE'S the one who was in the military... haha i was just going to say that. she knows allll about both the army's and the marine corps'

nycole --- 16 years ago -

She acts like SHE'S the one who was in the military... I have noticed that alot of military wives do that.

DeviousAmaris --- 16 years ago -

I'm guessing I need to go read the other thread.

ASVAB for Army ASVAB for Marines

SeriouslyInaneBabble --- 16 years ago -

I have noticed that alot of military wives do that. I *was* in the military. Admittedly not for very long, but long enough to know how things work.

Isn't it the Army that accepts GED's but not the Marine Corps?

It'Sugar --- 16 years ago -

the army gets all the marines leftovers.....my husband was a recruiter for 4 years.....trust me, i know! LOL "if the marines won't take you....the army will!!!!"

The Original LM --- 16 years ago -

I heard on the radio just a bit ago that the Army is now raising the weight you can be and still get in... Army Muffin Tops ;)

~Bea~ --- 16 years ago -

I heard on the radio just a bit ago that the Army is now raising the weight you can be and still get in... Army Muffin Tops ;) It's because we need more soldiers to fight a two-front war. blah

MrsH --- 16 years ago -

Isn't it the Army that accepts GED's but not the Marine Corps? You can join the MC with a GED...hell you can join without one (or a diploma) even.

Come on people! --- 16 years ago -

I heard on the radio just a bit ago that the Army is now raising the weight you can be and still get in... Army Muffin Tops ;) Does that mean you could get in?

The Original LM --- 16 years ago -

If you are a senior, you can join before you've recieved your diploma, but you had better get it or you'll have issues.

The Original LM --- 16 years ago -

Does that mean you could get in? Nope... fat girl don't run.

Come on people! --- 16 years ago -

Nope... fat girl don't run. ROLL!!!!!!

dmc... --- 16 years ago -

After 3 years on recruiting duty, my husband never wrote any contract that wasn't accompanied by at least a diploma. Not one single GED, not one single non-grad. I'm sure there are some out there, but they are few and far between.

Come on people! --- 16 years ago -

There are an a$$ load of GED Marines and Army alike.

~Bea~ --- 16 years ago -

ROLL!!!!!! I don't roll. I bounce!

~Bea~ --- 16 years ago -

I don't roll. I bounce! LOL I dont even do that. I just plop.

Come on people! --- 16 years ago -

I don't roll. I bounce! Woohooo tigger to!

dmc... --- 16 years ago -

Depends on the location too though AND how desperate the military is for people. correct, but to say that anyone with a GED can get in the MC is not correct. From '00-'02, if you lived in Nashville, TN or the surrounding areas, you wouldn't get in with only a GED.

DH started meeting the recruiter in Dec, swore in May 3rd for the delayed entry program and graduated May 18th... and went to bootcamp Oct 23rd

~Bea~ --- 16 years ago -

Delayed Entry Program is pretty common in most branches.
