I've read a little info on here on the prescription diet pill Phentermine, does the naval hospital prescribe that or just out in town? My wife and I just need to lose 20 LBS. Can anyone help?

I have taken them on and off for years...hence you will gain it back after you stop taking them.
yeah so then its like most diet pills...but usually the prescriptions are a little better than the over the counter pills...do you know if the naval hospital pharmacy gives these out?

nope they don't and neither do the naval drs. I would just do diet and exercise is the healthiest way to go.
yeah i'm kinda tired of hearing diet and exercise...its not that easy :)trust me i do both and its still hard to lose weight...cause i'm naturally a big guy
well i do weightlifting and so if they base your health using the BMI then i'm definitely overweight...if they take into consideration that i lift heavy weights and have a lot of lean mass then I'm not that overweight

So you don't do any cardio?
Then you need cardio to cut the fat and show the muscle. They go hand in hand, along with stretching, flexibility and eating healthy. It's all a package can't have one without the others to reach total health.
Speaking of which, my idol just posted this on her Facebook: "The tougher the workout the better the results. The same is true of tough spots in your life." Love it!
You can get a script from your Doc. Just tell him you want it. They are pretty indiscriminate about writing for those. But you will have to fill the script out in town, and pay for it out of pocket.

Try walking for at least 30 mins a day and cutting out all the junk food and soda's.
I'll admit it's not easy to lose weight, I just lost over 50 lbs and it took a complete lifestyle change along with changing my eating habits.
I cut out all the junk food, chips, cookies etc and the sodas. Plus I walk at least 30 minutes a day sometimes more.
You didn't put the weight on overnight so it's going to take work on your part to get those extra pounds off.
I do a lot of cardio and I also lift heavy weights. I watch what I eat kind of the way I'm supposed to but I heard these pills curb appetites and that they aren't for long term and that sounds like what i need. It feels like i kinda hit a plateau
