I was wondering if anyone has went to Women's Healthcare/Onslow memorial to have their child. I am new to the area and 32 weeks pregnant. I was referred out in town to WHA and Onslow but I have taken the tour of the hospital and met with one of the doctors at WHA and kind of have an uneasy feeling. My husband thinks I am just being unrealistic because I expect to have my own bathroom and such but after having a baby I would like to relax and the hospital did not give me a comforting feeling and neither did the doctor I met with.... I am too far in my pregnancy to try and switch providers and I was just wondering what others experiences were with Onslow and Women's Healthcare. I am hoping that I am worrying for nothing, but highly doubt it :-/ And if any of you have had a C-section either at WHA or at the hospital in Wilmington and it was a good experience can you please share with me who your obgyn was? I am section? I am supposed to have a repeat C-section and I am extremely worried about the surgery. I tried asking the doctor who she would recommend to perform the surgery and she said no one they can all perform C-sections lol. Obviously I already knew that and was just wondering who I would be in the best hands with.

I have had 2 c-sections by a Dr who used to be part of WHA, He has since retired but I had no issues, I am stil being seen at WHA for paps but there is 1 Dr i refuse to see over there for anything, even somthing as simple as a deppo shot, Ive been seeing a Dr Michin(?) and she seems really nice, She has been very helpful with an issue i have that isnt curable per say but she has given me advice on how to better control it which no other Dr has done for me, I had no issues with the hospital when i was in for my c-sections back in 2005/2007, If you have a c-section you should have your own room with your own bathroom minus the shower, I did both times

I've had both my children at OMH and had a great experience both times. I went to WHA with my first son and I had complications after his birth, DR. Edwards rushed to the hospital and pretty much saved my life. With my daughter I had Christ Clinic due to my Midwife moving offices. I did have my own bathroom in my room but the shower was in the hallway, not a big deal as I know it's a hospital not a hotel. No matter where you go there is going to be good and bad stories.
