Hi, I'm new here, heard about this place and thought I would check it out.

I'm wondering if anyone here has been through cancer? I was diagnosed Oct. 26th with uterine and cervical cancer. I'm terrified! I'm a single mom, so I've had to stop working, have no clue how we're going to make it, but we are! I have just found that all of my friends have pretty much disappeared like I have the plague or something? Also, I feel so UGLY!! I know the cancer is on the inside, but it's affecting my outside as well. I don't want to do my make up or my hair, I feel like I look grey. Has anyone else gone through this at all?

I was laid off May, 2011. Decided to get a colonoscopy. Had severe bleeding that night and the Dr. did not return my call. Was rushed to ER and largely ignored for 22 hours, until Dr. arrived. He did another procedure to stop bleeding, was in hospital 4 days. Then was told I had cancer. Went back in 3 weeks and had the surgery, another 4 days in hospital. had another procedure a year later and looked pretty good. I go back in 2 years this time.

This website and Facebook was very good to me while in the hospital and recovering.

I am a male, hopefully some women will chime in for you.

Do you know what stage you are? Here is some good news.........

Fortunately, most women who have endometrial cancer are cured.

I hope and pray you will beat this 100% !!!

I'm so sorry :( Do you have any family around?

For uterine and cervial cancer a Hystorectomy will take care of the issue. It is rough; but very curable with a procedure. No radiation or chemo needed.

You're going through the phases of cancer. Pretty normal. Just keep your head up. The form of cancer you have is devastating; but highly curable.

I've been dealing with cancer for a while now.
