Have you tried head start or the More at 4 program?

BBKMom --- 14 years ago -

We are still waiting for the acceptance letter for the More at 4. but just in case we are on the waiting list Im keeping my eyes open....

St Anne's is really good, last I knew it was about $130 a month.

Well, I see it's $150 now for 3 day half day, and $180 for 5 day half day.

You still haven't received a letter? Hmmm...have you tried calling the Head Start Office?

BBKMom --- 14 years ago -

Yes I called about 3 weeks ago....and they said that we will get a letter by the end of August.

I haven't gotten one either. =(

Kristie --- 14 years ago -

We still havent gotten our letter either so Ive been looking also ... Glad im not the only one - maybe well all get one ad they get to go though - maybe - lol

I would say if you do not get a letter by this week, you were not accepted. People who were accepted into that program have already recieved their letter to allow for time to get prepared.

If you live on base, I know the base schools offer a pre-k program through public school(FREE).

Yep, that's what I'm figuring! =(

United Trinity Methodist However, the spots fill up quickly and there is usually a waiting list.

What is the More at Four program?

dmc... --- 14 years ago -

The More at Four Pre-Kindergarten Program is a high-quality pre-k program that serves children who are at risk and prepares them for success in school. Pre-kindergarten is a research-proven strategy for school readiness.

I was curious, too. lol

Ahh gotcha. Thanks!

What is the More at Four program?

One of the primary reasons that the state of NC is bankrupt.

Wisconsin Sarah (Mod) --- 14 years ago -

My LU Sign In wasnt working yesterday - Like I have said in other threads I am the coordinator for More At Four at one of the sites in Jacksonville. We had 15 children who had not received letters, some of the parents called around to find out their child was indeed on a list - so if you ned me to check on your child's name let me know via PM and I can check on our site roster .. our building has 4 More At Four classrooms with 18 children in each ... so its worth a shot if you are still waiting ...

Also the acceptance letters needed to be back to sites by last week - so if they didnt get to us then the Partnership got the no-show lists Thursday morning and are moving to the waiting lists ...

If you need more info let me know!

:o)
