Well earlier I said being around of a lot of people but I also hate driving over bridges and I used to be terrified of spiders but not so much anymore.
I used to have agoraphobia when I suffered from panic attacks. Once you have one phobia, a person will most likely take on more phobias, like building blocks.
my hubby had a fear of bridges however has been able to get over them. He was obnoxious ocd also however has been able to tame that. Thank goodness! The nightly routine before bed took 40 minutes of checking everything multiple times. LOL
Large crowds. Heights, any heights be it bridges, never ending cliffs, planes, a ladder, he!! I'm ready to pee myself if I have to get on my counter for something. Spiders, drowning and burning.
i have a fear of suffocating but i do not think this is a phobia. do you? i think i just don't want to not breathe. it does not bother me unless someone tries to cover my mouth and nose at the same time. that was due to my younger brother doing it to me often growing up as torture as kids do to one another.

To me a phobia is a fear that effects your everyday life. For example, with the drowning I won't go into the ocean or a pool where I can't stand up because I'm that afraid. It's more than just being scared.

I have to agree with the phobia portion. I too have a fear of drowning but I do go into pools etc. Not as fun as it could be but I force myself. Pretty sure that comes from me thinking I was going to drown while learning to swim when I was 8. One lesson and I was d-o-n-e. Come to think of it, that's the only fear I have. I haven't noticed any phobias.
How did you manage the Pali? the Likelike or the H3?
You know, it took me a while! I was white-knuckled driving both for a loooong time. After a while I got used to the H3. I never really took the LikeLike except when Mike and I went for a bike ride. Now the Pali scared the he!! outta me until the day we left. People go WAY too fast around those turns and stuff.
IDK though. Hawaii was different. Oh but that one look-out on the Pali HWY. Yeah that was hard for me to do. The wind is so fierce and there you are on that edge of the cliff. Scary.
I am afraid of snakes, but I don't stay in my house so that I never have to see one.
I do hold my breath when I go over bridges, but I still drive over them. I'm not afraid of all bridges, the one by the driftwood is nothing, but I'd never ever drive on the Golden Gate Bridge. There is a cantilever bridge going from Fort madison to Nauvoo about 1 mile from my mother's house. I hate it. When I stop to pay the toll I take a breath and I hold it until I get to the other side.
I am TERRIFIED of frogs for some reason. I dont know why - I know they cant hurt ya yet Im still soooo scared of them.
My mom is this way too. She will literally pee her pants if they close.

When I was younger we went to Atlantic City in Jersey. We were in the water and there was a wicked undertoe. My sister (4 years younger than me) and I got stuck out really far and the waves were HUGE. We were waving and screaming at my dad to come get us but he thought we were playing. I kept going under because I was trying to keep my poor little sister above water but it was really hard. Finally my uncle realized we were in trouble and they both came and got us. That was one of the most terrifying situations of my life and ever since then I'm scared. I don't let Maley go more than knee deep at the beach either.
Ooooh I got a weird one, a friend of mine is terrified of cotton balls. He cries.
I'm glad none of my friends have something like this. I am way too mean. :)
LM this is the ship yard in Houston. It never freakin failed that if I was lost in Houston I ended up here. Imagine that at 70mph with traffic. I would have loved to drive about 15 over the da*n thing but if you don't drive 70 in Houston, someone's gonna run your azz over.

The first time we went over the Pali, we were going Honolulu bound and were in the outside lane. My husband said I turned white as a ghost as I was grabbing the seat. lol
