Several months ago, I read an article about a man that broke into someone's home/apartment and fell to his death over the balcony. Nobody was home and I believe he was unarmed. The comments regarding the article were along the lines of he deserved to die, etc...... I'm pretty cold hearted at times (ok most of the time) BUT even I thought the comments were a little harsh. Am I softening up in my old age - I actually got a reply that I was stupid and archaic in my thoughts?? 

I agree with you. Him breaking in was wrong, but I don't think he deserved to die. 

He did not deserve to die over breaking into someones apartment. 

no you are right. He didnt deserve it. Jail yes, death no. He probably was broke and trying to steal things to sell to live. If he waited until noone was home and wasnt armed then he obviously wasnt looking to hurt anyone. IMO 

You're right dbal. Sounds like these are the types of people that say a girl deserves to get raped because she was wearing a mini skirt or that kid deserved to get AIDS because he had a one night stand. It's a sick train of though.
