I switched my birth control.. and I have packs left of the stuff I used before.. that are in good date.. does anyone know where I can donate them.. or what I can do with them.. I don't just want to throw them out! Thanks!!! :) 

Take them back to the pharmacy or throw them away. 

Just don't put them on lys, whatever you do!

I wasn't going to put them on lys! I was just wondering if theres a place that I could donate them to.. Like a womans shelter or whatever.. I have some that are still in the metal wrapped package.. and some in the boxes.. I switched two different times.. and I probably have 5-6 packs and didn't want to just throw them out.. since I did have to pay money for them.. since Tri-Care didn't cover it because I didn't want the generic brand.. I figured if there was a place I could donate them etc.. I would.. versus throwing them in the garbage! Or returning them to the pharmacy so they can turn around and sell them again after I already paid for them and would be giving them back for free! If that makes sence? 

Its illegal to give it to a womans shelter.. or health department? Places that prescribe birth control to women? 

I understand what your saying and your heart is in the right place but there is a reason that it's illegal and you should just throw them out if you don't want to bring it back to the pharmacy. 

Throw it out...? I doubt you can donate it. 

A woman's shelter does not prescribe meds no matter what kind they are. A prescription (even birth control) is specialized to what the doctor and patient feel are best. Even if you brought them to a doc's office or anywhere like that they would more than likely throw them out. 

They are JUST BC pills. Who cares if you throw them away? They make new pills everyday. It's not like diapers or something that you can give away. Lol 

I just figured since they are still in original packs, boxes that if someone else like a shelter or something could use them I would prefer that then throwing them out. But if there isn't a place that excepts them.. then I will throw them out! 

Most BC is free through the Health Departments. I would just toss it and save the grief.
