When they remove snow from a road, where do they take it? Sometimes they dump it in a nearby river, sometimes they dump it in a big parking lot (an unused stadium maybe) or some government owned or leased feitld. Or on your car on the side of the road :-/

I thought they just pushed it to the side of the road. that's what I always thought, too, but certain freeways (the beltway) they talk about snow removal on the on ramps. It's too dangerous to just simply move it to the side of the road. OMG, there's too much snow! The 4 lane across from us barely 2 lanes now.

dmc, I think the smart thing to do would be to melt it...no? They probably just dump it somewhere that isn't being used at the time. 

For You! those are only about removal using plows, sand, salt, etc. Not actual snow removal. QS, that's what I was wondering, if they'd just dump in in the Potomac or something. If they dumped it in fields it would then flood.

They just low and plow until they get to the end of the road. Duh!

Doesn't salt melt it? actually, no it does not. Not at really cold temperatures. They use the salt brine, which is the best, but it actually freezes, too. Yes, we've had ENTIRELY too much snow for me to even know that sh!t. lmao
