So my friend is a little worried and asked me for advice, but I'm so unknowledable with the whole pregnancy thing. She said her period isn't due for another week or 2 but her breasts are killing her. She's never had breast pain during periods except when she first started her period 12 years ago. Her last period started 26 days ago so if she was pregnant it probably happened within the last 2 weeks. But since she isn't due for her period yet she knows testing right now won't be accurate. So my question is, how soon can your breasts hurt when you're pregnant? I know it can vary, but we don't know if this is too soon to be feeling pain IF she's pregnant.

I was about 5 weeks with Ryan and 7 weeks with Laynie before I felt the breast tenderness

~*Shelby Nichole*~ --- 210 days ago -

My girls didn't hurt until around 13 weeks...and it was just the nipple.

**Krystal in SC** --- 210 days ago -

I was 3 weeks with this pregnancy when I had symptoms like that. I had a very faint positive on my pregnancy test. I had my last period around July 5th or so and found out around the end of July that I was pregnant. With my other 2 pregnancies I didn't have breast tenderness or anything like that. Just morning sickness and problems walking a little around 6-7 months.

My boobs hurt about 9 days after conception.

~*Shelby Nichole*~ --- 210 days ago -

I didn't have any symptoms until about 13-15 weeks. Then all Hell broke loose.

littleduck90 --- 210 days ago -

I didn't have cramps until the past year with my period. Maybe she's just picking up a symptom. My cramps usually start a week before my period. If she is pregnant, congrats!

My boobs hurt within a few weeks of being pregnant this time. With L, they didn't hurt until the milk came in. Everyone is different.

E's Wife --- 210 days ago -

For me, when my boobs started hurting, I knew right away I was pregnant. This was a sign for me, but like Boobsy said, Everyone is different

Someone --- 210 days ago -

So it sounds like they have the potential of hurting this soon if she is pregnant. TMI, she has also been having a lot of stomach issues, as in the opposite of puking. Is that ever a symptom? Well I guess by the time I get pregnant I should be quite aware of possible symptoms! Lol

Boobsy McNiceass --- 210 days ago -

Could be. Or it could be stress. She should go to the dollar store and buy a few tests. It might show up now, might not.

nicole --- 210 days ago -

if her period was 26 days ago she can test in a few days and it should be accurate.(buy a test that indicates at 25 and not 50 for hcg she can find the sensitivity list online) (saying that with my first pregnancy I tested every week, and didn't test positive until 7 weeks (and that's not including the 2 weeks you're not really preggers but counts)so that depends on her HCG hormones, but if she was having severe breast tenderness that soon, she could test positive because the pregnancy hormones is what causes that, tell her to buy a pack of three tests. Take one now then wait to see if her period comes and retest. If she wants to be responsible tell her not to drink until she either starts bleeding or seeing a double line.

Skoochers --- 210 days ago -

It's possible. It all depends on when she ovulated during her cycle. I conceived #2 on Feb 14 and tested positive Feb 28. (2006)

nicole --- 210 days ago -

I conceived #2 on Feb 14 and tested positive Feb 28. (2006) likewise for pregnancy #2 Period was Nov 1, know I didn't conceive until after the 10th since hubby was home tested positive around the 24th

Someone --- 210 days ago -

I thought the more sensitive tests said they are sometimes accurate 5 days before a missed period and become more accurate the closer you get to the period. That is what I remember from my sexuality class anyways. She isn't supposed to start for closer to 2 weeks. Let's just say this wouldn't be the best thing for her right now especially financially so I hate to tell her to waste money on tests when I think it is too soon. I just didn't even know if it was even remotely possible to have sore breasts this soon

~*Jolene*~ --- 210 days ago -

Mine hurt within a couple weeks of all 3 girls I believe. I found out when I was 2 weeks along with my second daughter. She can test now. Tell her to go to the Dollar store for the tests. Theyve worked just as good as the expensive ones for me.

nicole --- 210 days ago -

Her last period started 26 days ago she would know her cycle better then me, but why would her period be due in 2 weeks if it's already been 26 days? That's a super long cycle.

nicole --- 210 days ago -

Tell her to go to the Dollar store for the tests. Theyve worked just as good as the expensive ones for me. yep and they test at a high sensitivity 25.

Someone --- 209 days ago -

Nicole, not all cycles are 28 days, she has a long cycle then bleeds for 10-14 days on average. My cycles are also long but not quite as bad, 32-35 days and bleed for 7-10. I only hit 14 on occasion but it has happened. We are. So jealous of girls who bleed for 3 days.

nicole --- 209 days ago -

What was the first day of her last period (that is added in to whole cycle length) then she can make an estimation of when she ovulates (which prob won't be 100% accurate) then think back to if she had intercourse around that timeframe. and If her cycle is 40 days and ovulates in the middle, two weeks after conception she should test positive (because the levels will rise from that point and be high enough to detect) Suggestion which I'm sure you or possible someone else she knows has mentioned. Birthcontrol if she isn't ready to have a child (can't really afford pregnancy test and finacial situation isn't the best) and I'm not saying she has to go on the pill (but that might be cheaper depending on how ofter she has intercourse for condom usage.) I was lucky, I don't keep track of my cycle or anything, but when I decided to try and have another kid. I have an iphone and got an ap to keep track and give me an estimation of ovulation 9which would help her with times to avoid or use extra precautions if she doesn't want to get pregnant right now) but a regular calendar can do the same.

What was the first day of her last period (that is added in to whole cycle length) then she can make an estimation of when she ovulates Not everyone ovulates every month. I have PCOS. My last period is long long before I got pregnant...

nicole --- 209 days ago -

Not everyone ovulates every month. I have PCOS. My last period is long long before I got pregnant... Yes, there is special consideration I don't know her medical history other then what was presented on here. The typical is to ovulate every cycle. I'm just saying if she "thinks" she could be pregnant, if she can make an estimation of her ovulation/ conception date when she can expect to have a positive pregnancy test. (but as I even said above first pregnancy I tested every week and I didn't test positive until I was seven weeks pregnant from conceptionthat I was 100% it had to happen on if I was in fact pregnant. So not everyone fits a mold.

Someone --- 209 days ago -

I have PCOS too, it sucks trying to get pregnant. I hate that I can't even use those ovulation tests at the store And she uses birth control but things happen. I think she said her last one started the 12th or somewhere close to there.
