I remember trying to make brownies after the pizza box/linoleum incident and after 15 minutes they were burnt beyond recognition and hard as a rock. =( 

Bahahahahaha. This is some funny stuff! 

Back in the day they used to make these cheese bread rings with some marinara sauce in a cardboard bowl in the center. You bake it and then put the sauce in the microwave. I must have left the sauce in it and the entire thing caught on fire. I have caught my oven on fire numerous times though. (obviously) 

when my mom was growing up her brothers used to tell her to make biscuits when they wanted to play baseball. 

I was preheating the oven one time to make pizza or something and forgot to check inside before preheating. I knew that morning that nothing was in it so I just assumed it was empty. Apparently my brother for the first time in his life decided to put something away and put brownies back in the oven for safe keeping or whatever. Well the brownie pan had a plastic cover on it that nicely melted and ruined the brownies, pan, and got allll over the oven. It was smoky and fiery and smelled awful. The guy I was dating at the time almost got melted plastic on him from running the pan outside. I spent about 8 hrs scraping plastic out of the oven after that.

that is why no one in my house is EVER allowed to store anything in the oven. I have, however, lost many a tupperware bowl/seals on the burners. I think that's the extent of the bad I have done in the kitchen. *knock on wood* And this coming from a girl who used to roast mini marshmallows on tooth picks over a gas burner. :P 

Dang, that's bad! Funny but bad. to this day she won't even attempt home made biscuits. lmao

LOL when my dad was growing up, he had 2 sisters and 3 brothers......... 6 kids and their mom used to leave them home alone while she worked They thought it was funny to put napkins on the stove and light the (gas) stove and the napkin would fly up in the air in flames. He said they were doing it one time and their youngest sister was crying because she wanted to see, so they finally let her get in a chair to watch and it caught her hair on fire, singed her eyelashes and all. 

oh, and dmc if it makes her feel any better, my mom still cooks biscuits like that
