I absolutely refuse to give out info over the phone, even if my caller ID says it probably is ok. Say what? 

I think she meant even if her caller id confirms that it is H&R Block (or whoever) calling she still doesn't like to give info. 

Um, yeah it could have been legit but then why give out his last 4 over the phone. The office should have all our info by our name anyways from last year. I don't mess around with our social security info!! dude, I have to give the last 4 of my social when calling TIME WARNER. It's a pretty standard thing to ask. They ask you your FULL social when you get a pass on base. *GASP* no one can do anything with the last 4 of your social. If it were a scam they would ask for your full social, duh.

I bet people could find out info from the last 4 of the social or even possibly find out the whole thing. It's probably not that hard if someone really wanted to

when calling TIME WARNER. when you get a pass on base. But in those cases, you called Time Warner. So you know you are talking to Time Warner. And you are at the bass pass place (idk the real name) so you know you are talking to a base pass person. Anyone could call you and say hey I'm so-and-so, I need your social...you wouldn't know if it was legit or not.
