It's run very poorly, IMO.
I understand that it's new, and will take some getting used to, but it's much too strict and chaotic, IMO, to be enjoyable.
I was VERY excited about the pool opening, but it's just not fun. Too much of a hassle. Which is a shame, since it's such a nice pool!!!
Behind the theater. I like it. No sun, lifeguards actually guard lives, kids can swim outside of arms reach, they have diving boards, swin tests for kids to be in deep end, and pool toys like car floats and noodles!
Oh, ok. Sounds like a better place.
we had to do that at Randolph AFB too but there was someone at a desk and the lifeguards were outside.
I can understand signing in but not with a lifeguard who is suppose to keep their eyes on the pool. Someone at a desk inside or out makes more sense.
There are 2 lifeguard stands which aren't being used. The two girls sit under an umbrella together.
The ladies at the housing office didn't make the rules...and it's not MCCS. I did complain to a housing manager who is going to complain to a higher up, but it's not them....it goes beyond their realm, kwim?
That's so disappointing!
Sad part is that the rules are made that way because SO many people take their kids and let them do whatever. Your kids may be well behaved and know how to swim, Jules, but other people just don't care enough to watch theirs and that's why rules like this are made.
Don't the pools fall under MWR?
It's MCCS (hasn't been MWR for quite a few years)
I think Julie's right, they fall under AMCC. Base doesn't even do maintenance any more.
AMCC ICE You can make a complaint against AMCC, I don't see anything specifically about the pool, though. Your issues are safety issues, I'd make a report.
Music, I know...and that's what is frustrating.
I wish they would implement a swim qual here. The pool is 5 feet at the deepest, and the ends are 2/3 feet.
Like I said, it's a NICE pool...I just think they need to make a few changes so that it's more enjoyable.
I want my kids to have a good time, but I don't want to swim...but it looks like I will have to.
I dont lol thats why I was asking...... Each time we come back ( 3 times this month ) she comes home and starts goin at it( Vomiting )if she wasnt 12/able to swim I would just think she was swallowing water or something
I was just curious if anyone else has had their kids become sick after swimming in this pool???
Yes, my kids get a little ill after swimming anywhere. They get a little ill after the beach too. Nothing major though. What kind of sick are you talking about? Anywhere that kids are in close contact with eachother runs a risk of them getting sick.
